Short life IML (SLI)

These labels possess specific properties and characteristics for short-cycle (packaging) products, in accordance with the requirements set by the market.

Products under this category are characterized by a short lifespan. The packaging is often used once or for a short period, after which the packaging with IML ends up in the waste.

This form of in-mould labeling is mainly applied to food packaging, such as:

  • Tomato buckets
  • Yogurt cups
  • Butter tubs
  • Salads and spreads
  • Ice cream packaging
  • Sauces

Additionally, it is often applied to non-food packaging for products such as paints.

Types of materials

The labels are naturally available in white and transparent, but the variety is greater than that. Depending on the application, one can choose from different materials and finishes:

  • Orange Peel
  • Solid White
  • Transparant
  • Metallic
  • Metallic

Processability

We pay great attention to the processability of our labels for our customers. We understand how critical the in-mould labeling process is, which is why we ensure optimal properties regarding processability. Our labels are individually die-cut, ensuring optimal separation in a stack, the size of the label is always consistent, and we pay attention to good flatness of the label. Due to the rotary die-cutting, we do not need to use powder for separating the labels. This saves a lot of time in cleaning the injection molding machine.
